School Age Child Care Regional Training Institute
The School Age Child Care Regional Training Institute supports child care providers who work with elementary and middle school-aged children in before school, after school, and summer program settings. The 2020 Institute, titled “Empowerment: You Make a Difference”, will focus on our theme of Social/Emotional Learning and how providers can help children and youth build emotional intelligence and social skills that support their success in school, at home, and in college and careers. Workshops from carefully-selected presenters and an expert keynote speaker will deliver engaging, interactive content throughout the day.
The School Age Child Care Regional Training Institute, established in 2019, is a collaborative project of the Child Care Councils of Nassau and Suffolk and is funded by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.
