Opening a Child Care Center

Child Care Centers are licensed and regulated by the NYS OCFS. The Director and staff must meet basic academic requirements. In child care centers, children are grouped in classrooms by age and developmental needs. The group sizes are determined by state regulations. Most operate year-round and have hours suitable for a standard work day.
